If you live in the place cold and it's really cold you can add a heated bed or pad. Make sure you use a heating pad designed for animals rather than humans, as the latter may be too hot for dogs. Heated pet beds operate safely at low voltage and are usually built to be chew proof. Find cedar chip stuffing, too, because it repels fleas.
If you have the opposite problem and keeping your dog cool is a priority, make sure you choose a well-ventilated houses and position in the shaded area of the yard. Measure the size of your dog to determine the length and height of the house you need. Your pet should have enough room to turn around and lie down but not so much space that they can never get warm.
