A great idea is to plan to attend several events before the competition and talk to some, coach and owner handler at the event and show dogs in the same type of competition you enter. Most owners and dog lovers are very willing to help and provide information on how to get started in various competitions. Getting advice from people who are actively involved in showing dogs is a wonderful way to get answers to your questions.
There is new and different activities so much happens that the dog may be disturbed or even a little afraid of all people, sound and even lights and just design a ring or events. Taking your dogs, as viewers, to some competition to help with their normalization to the environment that they will be in during the competition. Some of the larger competitions do not allow dogs in that do not come, but as an owner you can still attend, get an idea about what happened
Bathing and Care, Day of the event can be very busy and chaotic, so bathing and grooming dogs as much as possible in advance to help prepare for the event. Consider the dog a bath the day before and just doing little touch-up day of competition. Shine and any special care products that must be performed immediately before competition. Be sure to walk the dog and allow them to use the bathroom before the competition and avoid eating them just before the event.
